  • Brought to you by the aberrant, animated mind of Italian-born provocateur, mischief-maker, and macabre witness to our times Maurizio Cattelan, Toilet Paper 2 follows closely on the heels of the inaugural issue of Cattelan's most recent print extravaganza. "The magazine springs from a passion/obsession that Maurizio and I have in common," collaborator photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari said in an interview in Vogue Italia. "Each picture springs from an idea, even a simple one, and then becomes a complex orchestration of people who build tableaux vivants. This project is also a sort of mental outburst." Published by Deste, this part magazine, part artist's book blends commercial photography with warped narratives and surrealistic imagery, creating a series of powerful images that are as appropriate for the coffee table as they are for the WC

  • Specially created by Maurizio Cattelan in collaboration with fellow countryman Pierpaolo Ferrari for Cattelan's major retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, Toilet Paper 4 is a brilliant new creation from the aberrant, animated mind of the Italian-born provocateur, mischief-maker and macabre witness to our times. Published by Deste, this part artist's book, part magazine contains no text. only full spreads of color photographs with imagery that often appropriates the slick production values of commercial photography to deliver dreamlike (or nightmarish) images that are as appropriate for the coffee table as they are for the WC. In an interview with Vogue Italia, Ferrari said that "the magazine springs from a passion/obsession that Maurizio and I have in common. Each picture springs from an idea, even a simple one, and then becomes a complex orchestration of people who build tableaux vivants. This project is also a sort of mental outburst."

  • The names of all the artists featured in the collections of the Louvre are first mixed with the names of the museum's employees to comprise a unique and generic list. The authors can thus play on the notions of anonymity and celebrity, while creating a sort of directory of all those, whether known or unknown, artist or employee, who uphold the Louvre's reputation. They also add several "themed" lists cleverly organized with a good dose of humor. The third part of the book likens the portrait of Louvre employees to the self-portraits of artists displayed at the Louvre.

He was dancing steadily. He could see the backs of people’s heads moving in the darkness and was aware of the shifting spaces between their bodies. He did not register the music except as a sort of vibration. He felt as if he was dancing in perfect silence. He saw the already dim room growing ever darker around him. He became less conscious of his surroundings and more aware of himself. His introspection grew but his body was now moving automatically, softly cycling through a short loop of set motions. He noticed dust under his feet, and soon the realisation reached him that he was slowly wearing a shallow hole in the wooden floor. His body was locked in an efficient cycle. Before too long he was six inches below floor level, his head parallel with some of the shorter dancers. Yet he could not stop. Gradually he sank deeper into the ground until his face was level with people’s waists. No one noticed, below the eye level of the crowd, he was almost invisible. Presently his eyes came level with the soles of dancing shoes. He could see shards of coloured light flashing through a forest of legs casting jagged shapes across the floor. There were points where soft reflected light shone through looming figures like sunlight into a clearing. Eventually he was entirely submerged. He could look up through the hole and see foreshortened bodies moving above him oblivious to his plight. Still his feet moved, wearing away damp, pungent earth. The vibrations from the music lessened until the dull thump of the kick drum was all that he could feel. When it stopped he realised he too was still, and looking up he saw the sphere of light was gone.

  • Ausstellung der Privatsammlung Anastasios Gkekas bei VOLKS 10.09.-13.10.2015.
A key to a potential approach is possibly the innerness, the esoteric and sometimes confessional character of the works, but also the place they occupy in the collective work of the artists - as I am of the opinion that one can find more comprehensible examples within their work. It seems that as if from a recurring tic, I wanted to catch them red-handed, naked I would say, within their own work. To a lesser extend, it is perhaps a sort of innocence.

  • Zum Release und zur performativen Lesung in der Lothringer 13 florida in München am 01.03.2018 um 20 Uhr.
Ruine München is happy to presents Max Grau's first artist book ever. In his words: "I’m really happy with how the book turned out. It looks and feels pretty. It has 84 pages and contains 53.260 characters (incl. spaces). There’s 25 images spread out over six chapters (which have names of varying length). The whole thing is titled after a line from a Frank O’Hara poem that I really like (although I’m not quite sure if I »get« it). There’s footnotes and page numbers and even a topic (optimism. Sort of). The text is written in English and the book is covered in a beautiful sleeve, designed by Maria (I think). It (the sleeve) contains a very flattering text (in German) about… uhm… me, written by the whole RUINE gang. Every issue is numbered and since there wasn’t a ton of money (why is there never an actual ton of money?), we only printed an edition of 70."

The man creates dysfunctional and entropic spaces during its landscape construction.
Their own story has displaced them from the cause-effect line, dooming them to an eternal defeated present.
Carlos Albalá & Ignasi López go through these places and represent them in a sort of emotional topography, creating emotional links with only exits for itself landscape which produces monuments with a maximum degree of iconicity.
Evidences as to Man's Place in Nature is published as a book in which are included, fragmented, 8 photographs that forms this project and can be detached and mounted as wall photographs.

  • the present work is a sort of lyrical diary, simple and personal- If it is, perhaps, less overwhelming than the huge Mundunculum, less "far-out" than the concrete Poems, it is also perhaps more accessible and a more suitable introduction to the work of the fascinating Iceland Swiss chimera. In its own right, however, the Clouds shows Rot as writer, and Rot as book desginer, and is therefore an appropriate indication of the scope of the man's work.

  • Illustrated with charming line drawings of urban love, this score includes music and lyrics for eight voices and clavichord, bell, flute, violin, oboe, horn, cymbal, drum. Each of the three acts are introduced with a plot synopsis of the amorous adventures of protagonists Pearl and Anthony. The libretto ends with a thoughtful epilogue: As young lovers Pearl and Anthony must acknowledge the reality of their sentiment for each other as a separate and a whole reality from their surroundings they must effectively substitute the ...skylines that they could inhabit for the places and constructs as spiritual parts of themselves and to the intuitions and instincts to their intentions and to their youth as ingenuous their present and their future have become realized as each other they must consider a different sort of naiveté
